Choosing a Credit Card
It can be really difficult knowing which credit card to choose and which company to go with. There are so many companies out there which offer cards and such a selection of cards to choose from. It can seem very confusing and it can be tempting to just pick the first card that you see, however this is not the best way to pick.
It is a good idea to think about what type of card might be the best option for you. There are cash back cards, low interest cards and interest free cards. You need to decide whether having a good interest rate is good for you or whether you should consider having a free interest period. If you borrow a lot of money and do not pay it all back each month then these could be good for you.
However, if you pay off the balance each month, then the interest rate is not so important and having a cash back facility could be useful to you. Cash back comes in many forms, you may just get cash each month, you may get airmiles or points if you have something like a TESCO credit card. It is worth thinking hard about this decision as it can make a big difference to how much money you have to spend and how much you pay out in interest. It may feel like a big effort and a lot of hard work but it will be worth it, if you get the best deal for you.
Once you have decided what you need, then it will be much easier to sort through the options available as you will have eliminated a lot of the possible options and therefore there will be a lot less to choose from. So think about what you will be using it for, how much you are likely to spend and when you will be paying t back and this should help you to decide which type of card is the best one for you.
